In an overview look at 2 Thessalonians, Paul writes to encourage the Thessalonians to remain steadfast in what they were taught despite what pressures, persecution and rumors they might here. Much of what he tries to offer them focuses on the hope that God promises them, especially in the eternal comfort they will receive in the life to come.
